Brussels Worlds Fair Expo Volunteer Interpreters
Original vintage poster created to recruit volunteer interpreters for the 1958 World's Fair in Brussels featuring a great mid-century modern design depicting two men as silhouettes on a light blue background, one as a dapper gentleman representing a British visitor with a moustache, wearing a top hat and a monocle with a red flower on his jacket, and leaning on his umbrella as he listens to the other man as a translator holding a book and displaying a red GB badge on his jacket, the bold title and 58 star logo in red above - Devenez Interprete Benevole Expo '58 - with the Bruxelles telephone number for those interested in volunteering below. The 1958 Brussels World's Fair international exposition was held from 17 April to 19 October 1958 on the Heysel Plateau in Brussels Belgium; best known for the iconic Atomium structure that was designed for the event, over 41 million people visited the exhibition that focused on A World View: A New Humanism. Good condition, restored tears, restored paper losses, staining, backed on linen.

FAQs
More information about our posters and service.
Are your posters originals?
All antique and vintage posters listed on our website are guaranteed originals as detailed in their photographs and descriptions, and include a certificate of authenticity.
What is a lithograph?
Most of the posters found on our website are lithographs. This is a method of printing that involves drawing a reverse image of each colour onto a piece of stone. The poster sheet is then imprinted consecutively with a stone slab for each colour, creating a stunning and rich image.
With the exception of silk printing, I believe that other printing techniques do not deliver the same impact of colour as lithography.
Where do you deliver to?
We ship posters worldwide rolled in shock-resistant and hard wearing tubes. Unless specified otherwise, delivery is free within the UK and standard international delivery is £35 for orders placed via our website.
Can I visit your gallery?
Yes. Our gallery is based in London. Our address is 404 King's Road, Chelsea, London SW10 0LJ.
Our opening hours are Monday-Friday 10am-6pm; Saturday 11am-5pm (by appointment only on Sundays and bank holidays*).
