Original vintage Bollywood film poster for the award winning movie produced by Raj Kapoor - Boot Polish - directed by Prakash Arora and starring Kumari Naaz as Belu and Ratan Kumar as Bhola with music by Shankar Jaikishan. Great design featuring the two young children with rays of sunlight beaming through the dark clouds in the background, the title text in bold white lettering against the dark silhouette of people watching the scene in the foreground below and the RK Films logo on the side. The renowned Indian actor and filmmaker Ranbir Raj Kapoor (1924-1988), also known as the Clark Gable of the Indian film industry and the Showman of Bollywood, is one of the most influential and well known film stars of Hindi cinema; he founded R. K. Films in 1948. The popular Indian composer duo known as Shankar Jaikishan were Shankar Singh (Ram Singh Raghuvanshi; 1922-1987) and Jaikishan Dayabhai Panchal (1929-1971); the successful Music Directors worked together composing film music from 1949 to 1971, with Shankar continuing under their name until 1986. What is a lithograph?
Practically all of the posters found on our website are lithographs. This is a method of printing that involves carving each colour of the image onto a piece of stone. The poster sheet is then imprinted consecutively with a stone slab for each colour, creating a stunning and rich image.
With the exception of silk printing, we believe that other printing techniques do not deliver the same impact of colour as lithography.
Where do you deliver to?
We ship posters worldwide rolled in shock-resistant and hard wearing tubes. Unless specified otherwise, delivery is free within the UK and standard international delivery is £25 for orders placed via our website.
