Issued by British Overseas Airways Corporation in Association with Qantas Empire Airways Limited, South African Airways and Tasman Empire Airways. The British Overseas Airways Corporation / BOAC was the British state airline created in 1940-1946 as the result of a merger between Imperial Airways and British Airways Ltd, introducing the world's first passenger jets to its service in 1952 and merging again in 1971-1974 to create British Airways / BA. Printed in Great Britain by McCorquodale and Co Ltd. Good condition, restored paper losses on right margin, restored tears on edges, minor staining, backed on linen.

What is a lithograph?
Practically all of the posters found on our website are lithographs. This is a method of printing that involves carving each colour of the image onto a piece of stone. The poster sheet is then imprinted consecutively with a stone slab for each colour, creating a stunning and rich image.
With the exception of silk printing, we believe that other printing techniques do not deliver the same impact of colour as lithography.
Where do you deliver to?
We ship posters worldwide rolled in shock-resistant and hard wearing tubes. Unless specified otherwise, delivery is free within the UK and standard international delivery is £25 for orders placed via our website.
Can I visit your gallery?
Yes. Our gallery is based in London. Our address is 404 King's Road, Chelsea, London SW10 0LJ.
Our opening hours are Monday-Friday 10am-6pm; Saturday 11am-5pm (by appointment only on Sundays and bank holidays*).
