Original vintage motor sport poster - Bentleys at Le Mans, 1929 - celebrating the wins by the British car manufacturer Bentley Motors at the 24 Heures du Mans endurance car race in June 1929. Dynamic painting by the notable British artist Terence Tenison Cuneo (1907-1996) dated August 1968 depicting the Bentley 4½ Litre car (No. 10) driven by British driver Dudley Benjafield (1897-1957) and French driver Andre d'Erlanger refuelling their 4½ Litre car as mechanics look on from the side, the Bentley car (No. 9) speeding past the pits on the other side in front of spectators with flags flying overhead and more cars in the background, the margin below featuring sketches and annotations, including a Bentley engine "The envy of a million motorists" and an image of W O Bentley (1888-1971) "The man who started it all". The 1929 Le Mans race was won by the following Bentley racing car drivers - known as the Bentley Boys - 1st place: Woolf Barnato (1895-1948) and Tim Birkin (1896-1933) in a Bentley Speed 6 car (No.1); 2nd place: Jack Dunfee (1901-1975) and Glen Kidston (1891-1931) in a Bentley 4½ Litre car (No. 9); also taking 3rd place (No. 10) and 4th place (No. 8). The 24 Hours of Le Mans / 24 Heures du Mans motor race has been held near Le Mans in France since 1923. Published by Colourviews Ltd of Birmingham, England. Horizontal. What is a lithograph?

Practically all of the posters found on our website are lithographs. This is a method of printing that involves carving each colour of the image onto a piece of stone. The poster sheet is then imprinted consecutively with a stone slab for each colour, creating a stunning and rich image.

With the exception of silk printing, we believe that other printing techniques do not deliver the same impact of colour as lithography. 

Where do you deliver to?

We ship posters worldwide rolled in shock-resistant and hard wearing tubes. Unless specified otherwise, delivery is free within the UK and standard international delivery is £25 for orders placed via our website.
