Bauhaus German Exhibition Chicago Illinois 1969
Original vintage exhibition poster for 50 Years Bauhaus held from 25 August to 26 September 1969 held at the S.R. Crown Hall Illinois Institute of Technology Chicago (IIT Illinois Tech; founded 1890) featuring minimalist composition including a blue circle in the shadow of a white sphere, a red square next to a white cube and a white pyramid by a yellow triangle, the colourful geometric shapes against a blue background. Artwork by the renowned Bauhaus artist Herbert Bayer (1900-1985). Built 1950-1956 the IIT College of Architecture S. R. Crown Hall is an historic landmark building designed by the notable Modernist architect Ludwig Mies van der Rohe (1886-1969). Excellent condition.

What is a lithograph?
Practically all of the posters found on our website are lithographs. This is a method of printing that involves carving each colour of the image onto a piece of stone. The poster sheet is then imprinted consecutively with a stone slab for each colour, creating a stunning and rich image.
With the exception of silk printing, we believe that other printing techniques do not deliver the same impact of colour as lithography.
Where do you deliver to?
We ship posters worldwide rolled in shock-resistant and hard wearing tubes. Unless specified otherwise, delivery is free within the UK and standard international delivery is £25 for orders placed via our website.

Our opening hours are Monday-Friday 10am-6pm; Saturday 11am-5pm (by appointment only on Sundays and bank holidays*).
