Bauhaus Experiment Exhibition
Original vintage advertising poster for a Bauhaus exhibition entitled Experiment at the Bauhaus Archive Museum in Berlin from 1 February to 27 March 1989. Great typographic collage by the German graphic designers Nicolaus Ott (b 1947) and Bernard Stein (b 1949) featuring different cut-out letters to form the colourful title against a dark background with the rest of the text on all four sides in stylised black and white letters. Bauhaus was a German art school founded by Walter Gropius (1883-1969) that combined craft and fine art in design from 1919-1933. The Bauhaus-Archiv Museum für Gestaltung was founded in 1960 "to collect and present all documents relating to the activities and cultural and intellectual heritage of the Bauhaus". Printed by Reiter Druck. Very good condition, faint scratches and creases, minor defects in margins.

What is a lithograph?
Practically all of the posters found on our website are lithographs. This is a method of printing that involves carving each colour of the image onto a piece of stone. The poster sheet is then imprinted consecutively with a stone slab for each colour, creating a stunning and rich image.
With the exception of silk printing, we believe that other printing techniques do not deliver the same impact of colour as lithography.
Where do you deliver to?
We ship posters worldwide rolled in shock-resistant and hard wearing tubes. Unless specified otherwise, delivery is free within the UK and standard international delivery is £25 for orders placed via our website.
