Original vintage Russian sci-fi movie poster for the film Nebo Zovyot (Battle Beyond the Sun), about a space race to be the first to land on Mars - a science fiction thriller directed by Mikhail Karzhukov and Aleksandr Kozyr, starring Ivan Pereverzev, Aleksandr Shvorin, K Bartashevich, Larisa Borisenko and Viktor Dobrovolsky. Great image of three cosmonauts wearing spacesuits in front a large red planet with their rocket in the foreground. (For the American release in 1962, Roger Corman had Francis Ford Coppola re-cut the movie to add new footage and give the Russian characters American names to disguise the fact that it was a Russian movie.) Fair condition, restored loss, tears and folds, backed on linen.

Are your posters originals?

What is a lithograph?
Practically all of the posters found on our website are lithographs. This is a method of printing that involves carving each colour of the image onto a piece of stone. The poster sheet is then imprinted consecutively with a stone slab for each colour, creating a stunning and rich image.
With the exception of silk printing, we believe that other printing techniques do not deliver the same impact of colour as lithography.
Where do you deliver to?
We ship posters worldwide rolled in shock-resistant and hard wearing tubes. Unless specified otherwise, delivery is free within the UK and standard international delivery is £25 for orders placed via our website.
Can I visit your gallery?
Yes. Our gallery is based in London. Our address is 404 King's Road, Chelsea, London SW10 0LJ.
Our opening hours are Monday-Friday 10am-6pm; Saturday 11am-5pm (by appointment only on Sundays and bank holidays*).
