Original vintage map poster for Barcelona Spain issued for the International Exposition of Barcelona held on Montjuic hill from 20 May 1929 to 15 January 1930 - Exposicion Internacional de Barcelona 1929 - featuring a colourful illustrated map design by Frisco Millioud (1902-1939) framed by the text - Barcelona es bona si la bossa sona … sona o no sona Barcelona es bona / Barcelona is good if your pockets are full - as well as symbols advertising the construction company Uralita that sponsored the World Fair event with detailed illustrations and information on scrolls including a zeppelin and planes, Spanish flags, buildings, horses and riders at the Polo Jockey Club, a football player labelled FC Barcelona, a man firing a cannon at the Castillo de Montjuich castle, the bullring, churches, people enjoying picnics in the parks, wildlife including a rabbit, cockerel, fish, snails and seagulls, flowers and trees, a smiling sun and a moon, people on the beach and swimming in the sea, fishing and rowing, factories and railways, cars on the streets, children playing, historic buildings and other landmarks, cliffs, sailing and steam boats on the water by the harbour, and tourists exploring the coastal city. Horizontal. Good condition, folds, repaired tears, pinholes, paper losses, creasing, backed on cloth.

Are your posters originals?

What is a lithograph?
Most of the posters found on our website are lithographs. This is a method of printing that involves drawing a reverse image of each colour onto a piece of stone. The poster sheet is then imprinted consecutively with a stone slab for each colour, creating a stunning and rich image.
With the exception of silk printing, I believe that other printing techniques do not deliver the same impact of colour as lithography.
Where do you deliver to?
We ship posters worldwide rolled in shock-resistant and hard wearing tubes. Unless specified otherwise, delivery is free within the UK and standard international delivery is £35 for orders placed via our website.
