Original vintage advertising poster for eight unique ballet performances from 12-20 May 1951 - Gran Teatro del Liceo Temporada de Primavera Ballet de l'Opera de Paris / Gran Teatro del Liceo Opera House Barcelona (opened 1847) Spring Season Paris Opera Ballet - featuring artwork by the prolific Spanish artist Pere Clapera (Pere Clapera i Argelaguer; 1906-1984) depicting a ballerina dressed in white dancing with her arms outstretched in front of a ballet dancer in red against a pale pink tinted background above the Paris Opera building and a stylised Eiffel Tower next to the bold white lettering on a red banner below. Founded in 1669, the Paris Opera Ballet is the oldest national ballet company in the world. Good condition, creasing, small tears, foxing.

What is a lithograph?
Practically all of the posters found on our website are lithographs. This is a method of printing that involves carving each colour of the image onto a piece of stone. The poster sheet is then imprinted consecutively with a stone slab for each colour, creating a stunning and rich image.
With the exception of silk printing, we believe that other printing techniques do not deliver the same impact of colour as lithography.
Where do you deliver to?
We ship posters worldwide rolled in shock-resistant and hard wearing tubes. Unless specified otherwise, delivery is free within the UK and standard international delivery is £25 for orders placed via our website.
Can I visit your gallery?
Yes. Our gallery is based in London. Our address is 404 King's Road, Chelsea, London SW10 0LJ.
Our opening hours are Monday-Friday 10am-6pm; Saturday 11am-5pm (by appointment only on Sundays and bank holidays*).
