Athletics Goodwill Games Moscow 1986
Original vintage Soviet sports poster for the Athletics event at the Moscow '86 Goodwill Games held from 6-9 July 1986 at the Central Lenin Stadium featuring a red star over the event text in black lettering around a globe in white and blue with olive branches for peace below, a pictogram in blue, red and gold of running athletes above the event title, the rest of the information on the sides at the top. The 1986 Goodwill Games international multi-sport event was held in Moscow Russia created by the American television producer and founder of the CNN Cable News Network Ted Turner (Robert Edward Turner III (b. 1938) in response to the Cold War era boycotting of the 1980 Moscow and 1984 Los Angeles Olympic Games by the USA and the USSR respectively. Fair condition, tears, staining, creasing, small paper losses.

What is a lithograph?
Practically all of the posters found on our website are lithographs. This is a method of printing that involves carving each colour of the image onto a piece of stone. The poster sheet is then imprinted consecutively with a stone slab for each colour, creating a stunning and rich image.
With the exception of silk printing, we believe that other printing techniques do not deliver the same impact of colour as lithography.
Where do you deliver to?
We ship posters worldwide rolled in shock-resistant and hard wearing tubes. Unless specified otherwise, delivery is free within the UK and standard international delivery is £25 for orders placed via our website.

Our opening hours are Monday-Friday 10am-6pm; Saturday 11am-5pm (by appointment only on Sundays and bank holidays*).
