Original antique advertising poster for Zeiss Feldstecher binoculars by the notable German poster artist Ludwig Hohlwein (1874-1949). Colourful artwork depicting a smartly dressed couple on the deck of a ship holding their binoculars and looking out to the viewer with mountains in the background and seagulls flying over the calm sea, the text below in blue and yellow letters. Zeiss optical systems was founded in 1846 by Carl Zeiss (1816-1888). Printed in Germany by G.m.b.H. (G. Schuh & Cie), Munchen. Good condition, faint stains and small defects in margins, backed on cardboard.
