Original vintage British World War Two propaganda poster: The Empire's Strength - "Do you know that South Africa is not only by far the largest producer of gold, but also a great agricultural country, exporting wool, fruit, sugar, and dairy products: that chrome and manganese for armaments are also valuable exports. These are the sinews of war." featuring an industrial design by Clive Gardiner (1891-1960) depicting two South African miners standing in front of two mining frames, various buildings, a smoking chimney and a large pile of earth in the background, the title text above with a crown logo and the rest of the text below. Printed for H.M. Stationery Office by William Brown & Co., Ltd. Good condition, small tears and creases in margins.
