Original antique World War One navy recruitment propaganda poster - England Expects And England must not and will not be disappointed Recruits wanted for the Royal Naval Division to serve during the Period of the War - featuring the Royal Navy tall masted ship HMS Victory (launched 1765) flying colourful flags with the stylised title text above and below in red, black and blue letters with the further information reading: Age 18 to 38 Mean chest measurement 34 inches. height 5ft. 3,1/2inches There are no expenses incurred in joining Free kits and food being provided Men are paid at the Service Rate of 1/3 per day Separation allowances are made to the families of Married Men Apply to the Royal Naval Division Recruiting Office 112 Strand London. Now a museum ship, HMS Victory was Lord Nelson's flagship in the Battle of Trafalgar (1805); Vice Admiral Horatio Nelson (1758-1805) gave the call sign "England expects that every man will do his duty" using the numeric flag code to start the battle.
