Original vintage World War Two poster - Denmark Unconquered, Though Captive - featuring a great image entitled The Grundtvig Church Copenhagen on a blue background with the Danish flag flying in the foreground and the bold white lettering above and below. Dedicated to the Danish philosopher and hymn writer Nikolaj Frederik Severin Grundtvig (1783-1872), Grundtvig's Memorial Church was designed in an expressionist style by the Danish architect Peder Vilhelm Jensen-Klint (1853-1930) and was built between 1921-1940. Issued by the National America Denmark Association (founded in the USA in 1940 following German occupation of Denmark to aid and support Danes and Denmark, and dissolved in 1945 following the liberation of Denmark). Excellent condition, minor discolouration.
