Schwarzwald Black Forest Hollentahlbahn Railway Germany

£550.00

Original vintage travel poster promoting Schwarzwald in Germany featuring a great illustration of a pine tree in the foreground, forested mountains and a Hollentalbahn railway train approaching a tunnel as it crosses over a tall white viaduct bridge connecting two mountains over a narrow river in the valley below. Schwarzwald - also known as the Black Forest - is located in south west Germany and is known for its mountain ranges with lush vegetation and woods, fields, valleys, rivers and lakes, and spa towns. Opened in 1887, the Hollentalbahn connects Freiburg and Donaueschingen running through the Hollental valley in the Black Forest. Very good condition, small tears.
