Original vintage travel advertising poster: Royal Mail new winter cruise by Asturias to East Indies, South and West Africa - Royal Mail Line Ltd - America House, Cockspur Street, London SW1 / Royal Mail House, Leadenhall Street, London EC3. Colourful image featuring a girl wearing traditional costume with an elaborate hat and holding a fan, more people in traditional dress behind her next to a building and umbrellas with an elephant and oxen cart on the other side by a palm tree. Royal Mail Lines (1932-1965) was a leading cruise ship operator created to take over The Royal Mail Steam Packet Company (founded 1839); in 1965 it was taken over by a British transport operator, Furness Withy & Company (1891-1980). Very good condition, light folds.
