Original vintage London Transport poster for Virginia Water by Motor Bus General Route 117A from Hounslow Town Station featuring a stunning painting by the British artist Fred Pegram (Frederick Pegram; 1870-1937) of a couple walking arm-in-arm with their Scottish Terrier dog on the green grass past ruins of historic columns and trees in front of other people by the lake in the background, the elegant lady wearing a white summer dress and red hat and holding a pink umbrella as she looks up at the gentleman dressed in a smart suit with a tie and hat, the Scottie dog wearing a red collar running ahead set within a framed border, the bold lettering with the General roundel logo below. Virginia Water is located in Surrey on the River Bourne and is named after the man-made Virginia Water Lake that also forms part of Windsor Great Park.
