Original vintage Great Western Railway GWR travel advertising poster: St Ives Cornwall Carbis Bay and Lelant - glorious sands - ideal bathing - Borough of St Ives 1639. Stunning artwork by Herbert Truman (1883-1957) featuring a scenic view of the quayside in St Ives with a young girl standing on the dock watching seagulls on the water, a fisherman leaning against the barrier and smoking a pipe with fishing boats in the harbour and sailing boats by the lighthouse and hills and cliffs along the colourful coastline in the distance, the text below in stylised black and red letters with the coat of arms and GWR logos. Printed in Great Britain by Beck-Inchbold-Lee. Good condition, restored creases, staining and minor loss on top right corner, backed on linen.
