Porsche Targa Florio 1968


Original vintage motor sport event poster published in Italian by Porsche to celebrate the victory of its racing car team in their famous come-from-behind race win led by the English driver Vic Elford "Quick Vic" (Victor Henry Elford, b 1935) and the Italian driver Umberto Maglioli (1928-1999) in a Porsche 907 at the open road Targa Florio endurance automobile race in 1968 held in the mountains of Sicily (1906-1977). Striking design by Erich Strenger (1922-1993) featuring a black and white photograph of the smiling race winner Elford taken just after his victory in front of his Porsche team with the text in the green, white and red colours of the Italian flag and the winners of the sport category listed: Baron Wendt & Kauhsen in a Porsche 906 and the Gran Turismo category listed below: Haldi & Greub in a Porsche 911S / Shell Dunlop Porsche. Printed in Germany by Ing. h. c. F. Porsche KG. Stuttgart-Zuffenhausen. Large size. Very good condition, minor restored tears on margins, backed on linen.
