Original vintage sport poster promoting the 1972 Summer Olympic Games in Germany featuring a dynamic image of a sailing event in Kiel on the Baltic Sea coast with boats racing past each other, based on a colour photo by Peter Cornelius (1913-1970). The posters for the 1972 Olympic Games aimed to "represent the intertwining of sports and art worldwide" and the design team was led by the German graphic designer and typographer Otto Otl Aicher (1922-1991). Printed in Germany by Klein und Volbert, Munich. Good condition, paper losses in top corners, creasing, staining.
