Montreal Summer Olympic Games Rainbow Beaver


Original vintage sports advertising poster for the XXI Olympic Summer Games 1976 held in Montreal Quebec Canada from 17 July to 1 August featuring an illustration by the graphic designer Ernst Roch (1928-2003) of a beaver - Canada's national animal - in black with colourful diagonal rainbow lines over its body and the Summer Olympics logo and title text above - Montreal 1976. The Olympic games were opened by Queen Elizabeth II with her daughter Princess Anne participating in an equestrian competition for the team from Great Britain. Canada finished with five silver and six bronze medals, while Soviet Union, East Germany and United States ranked with the most gold medals. Good condition, creasing, tears.
