Snow Trains Boston Maine Railroad Skiing

£750.00

Original vintage poster - Snow Trains Boston and Maine Railroad Minute Man Service Sundays and Weekends from North Station - featuring a smiling skier looking out to the viewer with more skiers in the background in front of the snow topped silver birch trees, the Boston Minuteman logo in blue on the side and service information in bold red text below. Founded in 1836, the Boston and Maine Railroad provided railway services in the northern New England area from its base in Boston Massachusetts until 1983 when it became part of Pan Am Railways; the Minute Man Service was a popular train route that ran until 1957 between Boston and New York (for a connecting New York Central service to Chicago); Boston's North Station opened in 1893 as North Union Station and is a main terminal for commuter and intercity rail services. Good condition, restored tears and loss on bottom left and top right corners, backed on linen.
