USSR Passport Soviet Citizen Venus Probe Space Exploration

Original vintage Soviet propaganda poster promoting the successful Venus / Venera space probe mission in 1967 featuring a bold illustration of a hand holding up a red Soviet passport with a white outline of a star in front of it, against a dark space sky with a rocket shooting towards a planet in blue next to the Russian text in red: Venera-4 and date: 18 October 1967 and an excerpt from the end of a 1929 poem by Vladimir Mayakovsky entitled My Soviet Passport in white text below: Read this and envy me - I am a citizen of the Soviet Socialist Union! The Venera series of space probes were developed by the Soviet Union from 1961-1984 to explore and gather data from Venus; the Venera 4 was the first probe to enter the environment of another planet for analysis. Very good condition, small restored tears and creases on margins, backed on linen.
