The Effects of Over-Cooking WWII


Original vintage British World War Two food propaganda poster: The effects of over-cooking and keeping hot Vitamin value, goodness, taste 'go up in smoke' - result is waste. Great illustration by Jan Le Witt (1907-1991) and George Him (1900-1981), the successful design team Lewitt-Him (1933-1955), featuring a chimney with the smoke in the shape of vegetables rising into the air, the text below. Printed for HM Stationery Office by Thos Foreman & Sons Ltd Nottingham. Very good condition, restored minor loss on top right corner, small tears on margins, backed on linen.
