Original vintage advertising poster - Perfumery Soyuzkhimexport Moscow - featuring a mid century modern design depicting a smiling young lady dressed in a blue and white top, brown skirt and white headscarf, holding a cloth with glass jars of perfume on it, reminiscent of a bread and salt welcome greeting ceremony popular in Slavic countries. Soviet Chemical Export was the sole exporter of Soviet perfume produced by over 15 of the largest factories using first class raw materials of natural oils and aromatic substances from specialised farms in the USSR including Crimea, the Caucasus, Ukraine, Georgia, Moldova and Central Asia growing roses, lavender, mint, geranium and other essential oil plants that were packaged into a wide range of perfumes, colognes and gift sets in elegant stylised bottles and decorative cases. Good condition, staining, foxing, creasing, small tears.
