Kandinsky Graphic Works Stadtische Gallery Lenbachhaus


Original vintage advertising poster for an exhibition of graphic works by the notable abstract artist Wassily Kandinsky (1866-1944) held at the Stadtische Gallery in Lenbachhaus Munich from 2 July to 6 December 1966 to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the artist's birth featuring a great black and white woodcut design by Kandinsky entitled Drachenfest originally made to advertise the Bauhaus annual Festival of Kites in 1922, the text in black and red letters. Printed in Germany by Holzinger, Munich. Good condition, folded, minor staining, browning on margins, minor tear.
