Original vintage poster - Indian Tea Goes Round the Globe Where India Grows Her Tea Export of Indian Tea - featuring a pictorial map of India with the tea growing places marked by name and amount of tea produced including the Assam Valley (357.52 m lb), Darjeeling (21.05 m lb) and Kerala (96.14 m lb) with colourful illustrations including animals, architecture, people, local traditions and ships sailing at sea above an annotated world map marking the countries India exports tea to with different images including a kangaroo for Australia (9.54 m lb), a windmill for the Netherlands (6.36 m lb), a shamrock for the Irish Republic (14.02 m lb), palm trees for Iraq (3.39 m lb), Big Ben and the Houses of Parliament for the UK (229.71 m lb), the Statue of Liberty for the USA (17.17 m lb), the Moscow Kremlin for the USSR (57.70 m lb) and a Mounted Policeman for Canada (10.54 mlb), surrounded by a decorative border showing smiling tea pickers in the fields and wild birds. Printed by The Ganges Printing Company Limited Calcutta. Good condition, restored tears and paper loss on margins, tape stains, backed on linen.
