Formed in c.1943, the Maquis French Resistance guerrilla Anti-Fascism fighters lived in camps operating from the forests and mountain areas to resist the German Nazi occupation of France and compulsory forced labour Service du Travail Obligatoire STO during the war. Good condition, restored folds, restored paper losses, pinholes, restored tears, backed on linen.
