Netherlands Militair Gezag WWII Lewitt-Him
Original vintage World War Two propaganda poster designed by the notable design team Lewitt-Him (1933-1955); Jan Le Witt (1907-1991) and George Him (1900-1981) entitled - MG Verbindingsorgaan met de Geallieerden / MG Liaison with the Allies - promoting the temporary military authority Militair Gezag (1944-1946) established to manage the administration of liberated Netherlands during its transition from German Nazi occupation. Dynamic design shows the letters MG in black stylised letters at a slant as though they are lying flat like a map with flag pins on the letters showing the French, US and UK Union Jack flags linked by yellow lines to an MG flag in the centre. The text below details the role of the Militair Gezag in promoting effective cooperation with the allies next to colourful letters curved upwards reading Nederland Zal Herrijzen / The Netherlands Will Rise Again. Horizontal. Good condition, folds, tears, minor staining.

FAQs
More information about our posters and service.
Are your posters originals?
All our antique and vintage posters, books, maps and prints listed on our website are guaranteed originals as detailed in their photographs and descriptions, and include a certificate of authenticity.
What is a lithograph?
Practically all of the posters found on our website are lithographs. This is a method of printing that involves carving each colour of the image onto a piece of stone. The poster sheet is then imprinted consecutively with a stone slab for each colour, creating a stunning and rich image.
With the exception of silk printing, we believe that other printing techniques do not deliver the same impact of colour as lithography.
Where do you deliver to?
We ship posters worldwide rolled in shock-resistant and hard wearing tubes. Unless specified otherwise, delivery is free within the UK and standard international delivery is £25 for orders placed via our website.

Our opening hours are Monday-Friday 10am-6pm; Saturday 11am-5pm (by appointment only on Sundays and bank holidays*).
