Original vintage Soviet propaganda poster - Survive before thrive / Не до жиру, быть бы живу - featuring a caricature of Adolph Hitler in a green uniform and a Nazi swastika patch on his shoulder reaching clawed hands and sharp teeth trying to bite into a globe of the world with USSR / CCCP marked on the map and the caption reading - He shouted menacingly: "Hey, follow me! We will conquer the globe!" / Орал он грозно: "Эй, за мной! Мы завоюем шар земной!" and an illustration below portraying him being pierced by sharp weapons sticking out from the globe with the caption - Now he screams twice as loud. But he does not threaten, he howls in fear. Poster from the Okno TASS series issued by the Soviet Union Telegraph Agency designed to raise morale during World War Two. Good condition, minor tears on edges, browning, punched holes at the top.

Are your posters originals?
All our antique and vintage posters, books, maps and prints listed on our website are guaranteed originals as detailed in their photographs and descriptions, and include a certificate of authenticity.
What is a lithograph?
Practically all of the posters found on our website are lithographs. This is a method of printing that involves carving each colour of the image onto a piece of stone. The poster sheet is then imprinted consecutively with a stone slab for each colour, creating a stunning and rich image.
With the exception of silk printing, we believe that other printing techniques do not deliver the same impact of colour as lithography.
Where do you deliver to?
We ship posters worldwide rolled in shock-resistant and hard wearing tubes. Unless specified otherwise, delivery is free within the UK and standard international delivery is £25 for orders placed via our website.
Can I visit your gallery?
Yes. Our gallery is based in London. Our address is 404 King's Road, Chelsea, London SW10 0LJ.
Our opening hours are Monday-Friday 10am-6pm; Saturday 11am-5pm (by appointment only on Sundays and bank holidays*).
