Original vintage World War Two home front poster - There is Treasure for you in Army Savings - featuring an image by the English artist Frank Henry Mason (1875-1965) depicting an historic military tallship in full sail flying flags with rowing boats on the sea next to her and more ships in front of a castle on a hill in the the background, most likely Dover Castle with the White Cliffs as an iconic symbol of Britain and home defence (made more famous by the singer and entertainer Vera Lynn's classic wartime song The White Cliffs of Dover). Issued by National Savings Committee Westminster. Printed for H.M. Stationery Office by Howard, Jones, Roberts and Leete Ltd London. Good condition, punched holes, tears, creasing, staining, folds, separate sheet on bottom left corner - Out of Print. Specimen copy.

What is a lithograph?
Practically all of the posters found on our website are lithographs. This is a method of printing that involves carving each colour of the image onto a piece of stone. The poster sheet is then imprinted consecutively with a stone slab for each colour, creating a stunning and rich image.
With the exception of silk printing, we believe that other printing techniques do not deliver the same impact of colour as lithography.
Where do you deliver to?
We ship posters worldwide rolled in shock-resistant and hard wearing tubes. Unless specified otherwise, delivery is free within the UK and standard international delivery is £25 for orders placed via our website.
Can I visit your gallery?
Yes. Our gallery is based in London. Our address is 404 King's Road, Chelsea, London SW10 0LJ.
Our opening hours are Monday-Friday 10am-6pm; Saturday 11am-5pm (by appointment only on Sundays and bank holidays*).
