Original vintage travel poster - Visitad Granada la Sultana de Occidente / Visit Granada the Sultanate of the West - featuring a view through an arch of the lion fountain in the historic garden courtyard at Alhambra, the Patio de los Leones / Court of the Lions (1362-1931), with the four flowing water channels symbolising the rivers of Paradise surrounded by the decorative Nasrid style walls and pillars casting shadows in the sunlight, the CET lion logo above and the stylised bold title text below. Located on the hill tops above the Darro river in Granada in Andalusia Spain, the Alhambra palace and citadel complex was built on the remains of an ancient Roman fortress and is known for its Islamic and Christian architecture; this 35 acre fortification is a popular tourist destination and a UNESCO World Heritage Site (since 1984). Artwork by the Spanish painter Jose Segrelles Albert (1885-1969). Good condition, repaired tears, small paper loss in the bottom left corner.

Are your posters originals?

What is a lithograph?
Practically all of the posters found on our website are lithographs. This is a method of printing that involves carving each colour of the image onto a piece of stone. The poster sheet is then imprinted consecutively with a stone slab for each colour, creating a stunning and rich image.
With the exception of silk printing, we believe that other printing techniques do not deliver the same impact of colour as lithography.
Where do you deliver to?
We ship posters worldwide rolled in shock-resistant and hard wearing tubes. Unless specified otherwise, delivery is free within the UK and standard international delivery is £25 for orders placed via our website.
Can I visit your gallery?
Yes. Our gallery is based in London. Our address is 404 King's Road, Chelsea, London SW10 0LJ.
Our opening hours are Monday-Friday 10am-6pm; Saturday 11am-5pm (by appointment only on Sundays and bank holidays*).
