Visit Amager - Besog Amager
Rare original vintage travel poster issued by the Tourist Office of Amager, Denmark. Amager is now part of Copenhagen and home to its international airport. This poster features the airport as well but with a grass airfield and bi-planes ready for landing, there is even a jetty for the water planes to dock after landing. Printed by R. Lindengaard, Copenhagen, most likely in the 1920s as Amager was extended in the early 1930s by extensive land reclamation on the West of the peninsula. The poster is in very good condition with minor repaired tears on the margins.

What is a lithograph?
Practically all of the posters found on our website are lithographs. This is a method of printing that involves carving each colour of the image onto a piece of stone. The poster sheet is then imprinted consecutively with a stone slab for each colour, creating a stunning and rich image.
With the exception of silk printing, we believe that other printing techniques do not deliver the same impact of colour as lithography.
Where do you deliver to?
We ship posters worldwide rolled in shock-resistant and hard wearing tubes. Unless specified otherwise, delivery is free within the UK and standard international delivery is £25 for orders placed via our website.
