Original vintage travel poster - Hiver Ete Font-Romeu Sante de L’Enfant altitude 1,800 metres / Winter Summer Health of the Child - featuring a fun and colourful Art Deco design by the French painter and illustrator Pierre Commarmond (1897-1983) depicting an image in two parts, showing a cheerful young girl in an orange swimsuit sitting with her arms raised on a snowball and beach ball enjoying year round holidays divided by the scenery of the mountain with more mountains visible in the background, the left side depicting skiers skiing down the snowy slopes of a winter landscape, while the right side features a group of people doing outdoor exercises on the green grass with flowers under the shade of the ball in the foreground, the text against the sky above and in bold lettering with the logos on the margin below. Issued by the Chemins de Fer du Midi / Midi Railway Company. Located near the Spanish border in the south of France, Font-Romeu is one of the oldest ski resorts in France and the oldest in the Pyrenees. Printed by Lucien Serre and Co.
