Original vintage travel poster issued by the PLM Paris Lyon Mediterranee railway for Moulay Idriss The Holy City Of Djebel Zerhoun featuring a colourful view of people walking along the hill town streets with a man shepherding a flock of sheep by a group with their donkeys resting in the shade of the buildings, the bold stylised text with the PLM logo and below. The historic town of Moulay Idriss is located in northern Morocco at the Zerhoun mountains in the Fes Meknes region, named after the first ruler Idris I / Moulay Idris (Idris bin Abdallah; Emir of Morocco 788 to 791; d.791). Artwork by Matteo Brondy (Alphonse Clement Andre Brondy; 1866-1944). Good condition, restored tears, restored creasing, small restored paper losses, browning, backed on linen.

What is a lithograph?

Practically all of the posters found on our website are lithographs. This is a method of printing that involves carving each colour of the image onto a piece of stone. The poster sheet is then imprinted consecutively with a stone slab for each colour, creating a stunning and rich image.

With the exception of silk printing, we believe that other printing techniques do not deliver the same impact of colour as lithography. 

Where do you deliver to?

We ship posters worldwide rolled in shock-resistant and hard wearing tubes. Unless specified otherwise, delivery is free within the UK and standard international delivery is £25 for orders placed via our website.
