Original vintage LNER train travel poster for Ipswich featuring stunning artwork by the notable painter and poster artist Fred Taylor (1875-1963) titled Mr. Pickwick The Ancient House depicting a scene from the 1836-7 novel The Pickwick Papers by the English author Charles Dickens (1812-1870) of Mr Pickwick being carried through the Suffolk town on a sedan chair past the historical 15th century Ancient House with Venetian style Ipswich Windows and its Tudor panels representing America Africa Asia Europe and Royal Coat of Arms located on the corner of Butter Market and St Stephens Lane. Originally written as a periodical serial published in 19 issues, the fictional Pickwick Papers is based on the travels and adventures around England by the Pickwick Club led by the kind elderly gentleman Samuel Pickwick, the founder and president of the club. What is a lithograph?

Practically all of the posters found on our website are lithographs. This is a method of printing that involves carving each colour of the image onto a piece of stone. The poster sheet is then imprinted consecutively with a stone slab for each colour, creating a stunning and rich image.

With the exception of silk printing, we believe that other printing techniques do not deliver the same impact of colour as lithography. 

Where do you deliver to?

We ship posters worldwide rolled in shock-resistant and hard wearing tubes. Unless specified otherwise, delivery is free within the UK and standard international delivery is £25 for orders placed via our website.
