Original vintage British Railways travel poster - Essex See England by Rail - featuring a great image of St. Osyth's Priory depicting a lady and man walking along a path towards the viewer with people relaxing and children playing on the grass under trees in front of the historic Priory gates, the St George Cross and Union Jack flags flying on the towers above the entrance against a blue summer sky and the title text below. Named after an English saint Osgyth (Osyth; d 700), St Osyth's Abbey (St Osyth's Priory) was founded in c 1121, built on the site of the former nunnery and dissolved in 1539 by King Henry VIII; the estate now comprises 22 listed buildings and a registered registered park and garden. What is a lithograph?

Practically all of the posters found on our website are lithographs. This is a method of printing that involves carving each colour of the image onto a piece of stone. The poster sheet is then imprinted consecutively with a stone slab for each colour, creating a stunning and rich image.

With the exception of silk printing, we believe that other printing techniques do not deliver the same impact of colour as lithography. 

Where do you deliver to?

We ship posters worldwide rolled in shock-resistant and hard wearing tubes. Unless specified otherwise, delivery is free within the UK and standard international delivery is £25 for orders placed via our website.
