Original vintage train travel poster - Visit Dover Castle - featuring artwork by the notable commercial artist and poster designer Reginald Montague Lander (1913-1980) depicting a family walking around the historic Constable's Tower and Gate of the 12th century medieval Dover Castle in white with the trees over a green background, the title above with the rest of the text and British Rail logo below - Awayday fare from this station - along with a description of the defensive Castle's history and site that dominates the White Cliffs of Dover with a view from the keep tower to France, a symbol against conquerors known as the Key of England and home to a Roman lighthouse, now a popular port town for tourists with modern shops and crossings to Europe by hovercraft from Dover to Calais in 30 minutes and to Boulogne in 35 minutes, and hourly fast trains from London Victoria and Charing Cross. The British hovercraft company Seaspeed operated services across the English Channel from 1965-1981 with British Rail and SNCF in France. Screen Printed by Planet Displays. What is a lithograph?
Practically all of the posters found on our website are lithographs. This is a method of printing that involves carving each colour of the image onto a piece of stone. The poster sheet is then imprinted consecutively with a stone slab for each colour, creating a stunning and rich image.
With the exception of silk printing, we believe that other printing techniques do not deliver the same impact of colour as lithography.
Where do you deliver to?
We ship posters worldwide rolled in shock-resistant and hard wearing tubes. Unless specified otherwise, delivery is free within the UK and standard international delivery is £25 for orders placed via our website.
Can I visit your gallery?

Our opening hours are Monday-Friday 10am-6pm; Saturday 11am-5pm (by appointment only on Sundays and bank holidays*).
