Vintage official reproduction poster issued for London Underground featuring colourful World War One artwork depicting the Battle of Ypres with images of an RAF Royal Air Force plane, a red London bus carrying soldiers, various medals and war memorabilia pins, a gas mask and tank on the ribbon of a medal with a silhouette of a military pilot in uniform, a parachute and portrait of the highly decorated Field Marshal Bernard Law Montgomery known as Monty and The Spartan General (1887-1976), who went on to serve successfully during WWII and with NATO after being shot in the lung at Ypres during WWI, the text around the edge of the medal - Imperial War Museum Underground to Lambeth North or Elephant & Castle - all set on an Army camouflage background with the rest of the text above - This is a reproduction of a poster designed for London Transport. Are your posters originals?

What is a lithograph?
Practically all of the posters found on our website are lithographs. This is a method of printing that involves carving each colour of the image onto a piece of stone. The poster sheet is then imprinted consecutively with a stone slab for each colour, creating a stunning and rich image.
With the exception of silk printing, we believe that other printing techniques do not deliver the same impact of colour as lithography.
Where do you deliver to?
We ship posters worldwide rolled in shock-resistant and hard wearing tubes. Unless specified otherwise, delivery is free within the UK and standard international delivery is £25 for orders placed via our website.
Can I visit your gallery?
Yes. Our gallery is based in London. Our address is 404 King's Road, Chelsea, London SW10 0LJ.
Our opening hours are Monday-Friday 10am-6pm; Saturday 11am-5pm (by appointment only on Sundays and bank holidays*).
