LT Greenwich London Transport Architecture John Finnie

£550.00

Original vintage London Transport poster for Greenwich featuring an illustration of the historic Queen's House building (built 1616-1635), the title and information text with the London Roundel logo below - Greenwich is old seafaring London, with Cutty Sark, Gipsy Moth IV and an imagined trace of salt in the air of Greenwich Reach. Greenwich is astronomy, Mean Time and navigation. Notably, too, this year, Greenwich is architecture, with Wren's Royal Naval College, Hawksmoor's St. Alfege's Church, Inigo Jones's Queen's House, all within a few cables lengths of each other. See Greenwich the easy way by one of London Transport's four guided coach tours. Ask for a free illustrated folder (and for a free Day Out at Greenwich leaflet) at any of the London Transport Travel Enquiry Offices or write to the Public Relations Officer, 55 Broadway, SW1H 0BD. European Architectural Heritage Year 1975. Printed in England by Johnson Riddle and Co Ltd. Good condition, creasing, tears, staining.

FAQs

More information about our posters and service.

Are your posters originals?

All our antique and vintage posters, books, maps and prints listed on our website are guaranteed originals as detailed in their photographs and descriptions, and include a certificate of authenticity.

What is a lithograph?

Practically all of the posters found on our website are lithographs. This is a method of printing that involves carving each colour of the image onto a piece of stone. The poster sheet is then imprinted consecutively with a stone slab for each colour, creating a stunning and rich image.

With the exception of silk printing, we believe that other printing techniques do not deliver the same impact of colour as lithography.

Where do you deliver to?

We ship posters worldwide rolled in shock-resistant and hard wearing tubes. Unless specified otherwise, delivery is free within the UK and standard international delivery is £25 for orders placed via our website.
