Original vintage travel poster - Paris London Golden Ray Air Union - featuring a stunning Art Deco design by Edmond Maurus (1903-1977) depicting a Liore et Olivier LeO 21 biplane plane flying at speed through a cloudy yellow and orange shaded sky with the stylised title text in gold lettering on a black banner below. Air Union introduced its Golden Ray / Rayon d'Or luxury passenger service in 1927. Founded in 1923 as a result of a merger, Air Union provided services between Le Bourget Airport and Croydon Airport until the company merged to form Air France in 1933. Printed in France by Creation Publix. Good condition, restored folds, restored tears, staining, backed on linen.

What is a lithograph?
Practically all of the posters found on our website are lithographs. This is a method of printing that involves carving each colour of the image onto a piece of stone. The poster sheet is then imprinted consecutively with a stone slab for each colour, creating a stunning and rich image.
With the exception of silk printing, we believe that other printing techniques do not deliver the same impact of colour as lithography.
Where do you deliver to?
We ship posters worldwide rolled in shock-resistant and hard wearing tubes. Unless specified otherwise, delivery is free within the UK and standard international delivery is £25 for orders placed via our website.
Can I visit your gallery?
Yes. Our gallery is based in London. Our address is 404 King's Road, Chelsea, London SW10 0LJ.
Our opening hours are Monday-Friday 10am-6pm; Saturday 11am-5pm (by appointment only on Sundays and bank holidays*).
