Original vintage travel poster for Martha's Vineyard published by The New Haven Railroad featuring a bold illustration of a figurehead in front of a shoreline with colourful houses, children playing on the beach and in the water, boats and a lighthouse on the hill. Martha's Vineyard is an island near Cape Cod in Massachusetts popular as an affluent summer destination. The New York, New Haven and Hartford Railroad (The New Haven) operated train services from 1872-1968 in the New England region of the United States. Good condition, restored tear, light staining, backed on linen.

Are your posters originals?

What is a lithograph?

Practically all of the posters found on our website are lithographs. This is a method of printing that involves carving each colour of the image onto a piece of stone. The poster sheet is then imprinted consecutively with a stone slab for each colour, creating a stunning and rich image.

With the exception of silk printing, we believe that other printing techniques do not deliver the same impact of colour as lithography. 

Where do you deliver to?

We ship posters worldwide rolled in shock-resistant and hard wearing tubes. Unless specified otherwise, delivery is free within the UK and standard international delivery is £25 for orders placed via our website.
