Original vintage train travel poster issued by the Great Western Railways GWR - Hereford The Centre for the Wye Valley - featuring a great design by Claude Henry Buckle (1905-1973) depicting a classic car with a horse rider and people crossing the old stone bridge over the River Wye in front of the trees and the historic Hereford Cathedral with a group of smartly dressed people waiting for rowing boats by the calm water in the foreground, the GWR logo and text below. Very good condition, small restored loss on bottom left margin, light staining, tears, pinholes, backed on linen.

Are your posters originals?
All our antique and vintage posters, books, maps and prints listed on our website are guaranteed originals as detailed in their photographs and descriptions, and include a certificate of authenticity.
What is a lithograph?
Practically all of the posters found on our website are lithographs. This is a method of printing that involves carving each colour of the image onto a piece of stone. The poster sheet is then imprinted consecutively with a stone slab for each colour, creating a stunning and rich image.
With the exception of silk printing, we believe that other printing techniques do not deliver the same impact of colour as lithography.
Where do you deliver to?
We ship posters worldwide rolled in shock-resistant and hard wearing tubes. Unless specified otherwise, delivery is free within the UK and standard international delivery is £25 for orders placed via our website.
Can I visit your gallery?
Yes. Our gallery is based in London. Our address is 404 King's Road, Chelsea, London SW10 0LJ.
Our opening hours are Monday-Friday 10am-6pm; Saturday 11am-5pm (by appointment only on Sundays and bank holidays*).
