Original vintage travel poster - Chateau Frontenac Quebec Canadian Pacific - featuring a stunning view of the historic hotel on the headland over the Saint Lawrence River on the promontory of Quebec with a road leading to the grand Chateauesque gothic style building, more buildings along the riverside below with a steam ship on the water and hills in the distance on the other side, the bold stylised text in white, red and yellow lettering. The Chateau Frontenac opened in 1898 and is located on the cape in the Upper Town district of the Old Quebec fortified city; it was designed by the American architect Bruce Price (1845-1903) for the Canadian Pacific Railway company; it is a designated National Historic Site of Canada and a UNESCO World Heritage Site; in 2001 it was renamed the Fairmont Le Chateau Frontenac under the management of the Fairmont Hotels and Resorts group. Good condition, restored paper losses, restored tears, backed on linen.

What is a lithograph?
Practically all of the posters found on our website are lithographs. This is a method of printing that involves carving each colour of the image onto a piece of stone. The poster sheet is then imprinted consecutively with a stone slab for each colour, creating a stunning and rich image.
With the exception of silk printing, we believe that other printing techniques do not deliver the same impact of colour as lithography.
Where do you deliver to?
We ship posters worldwide rolled in shock-resistant and hard wearing tubes. Unless specified otherwise, delivery is free within the UK and standard international delivery is £25 for orders placed via our website.
Can I visit your gallery?
Yes. Our gallery is based in London. Our address is 404 King's Road, Chelsea, London SW10 0LJ.
Our opening hours are Monday-Friday 10am-6pm; Saturday 11am-5pm (by appointment only on Sundays and bank holidays*).
