German resistance is overcome and many Axis prisoners are taken. The Swastika flag is hauled down and the Union Jack takes its place. - with the slogan and rest of the text below - Other war gifts from Basutoland include contributions to His Majesty's Government for the prosecution of the war, part of which was used to form the Basutoland squadron of Spitfires, contributions for Air Raid Relief, British Red Cross Society, mobile canteens, Aid to Russia and many other funds. Are your posters originals?
All our antique and vintage posters, books, maps and prints listed on our website are guaranteed originals as detailed in their photographs and descriptions, and include a certificate of authenticity.
What is a lithograph?
Practically all of the posters found on our website are lithographs. This is a method of printing that involves carving each colour of the image onto a piece of stone. The poster sheet is then imprinted consecutively with a stone slab for each colour, creating a stunning and rich image.
With the exception of silk printing, we believe that other printing techniques do not deliver the same impact of colour as lithography.
Where do you deliver to?
We ship posters worldwide rolled in shock-resistant and hard wearing tubes. Unless specified otherwise, delivery is free within the UK and standard international delivery is £25 for orders placed via our website.
