Original vintage Soviet World War Two propaganda poster for Окно ТАСС Ленинград Leningrad (now St Petersburg) issue No.12 September 1943 featuring the news headline and bold black text with three images, the main one depicting army soldiers armed with guns charging forward between military tanks flying red flags below air force fighter planes with explosions and smoke on the left side, the smaller images on the right side showing men working on a tank in a factory and another battle scene below. The Okno TASS series issued by the Telegraph Agency of the Soviet Union (founded in 1904; now the Russian News Agency TASS) was designed to raise morale during World War Two. Horizontal. Large size. Fair condition, restored folds, restored tears, restored paper losses, staining, backed on linen.

What is a lithograph?
Practically all of the posters found on our website are lithographs. This is a method of printing that involves carving each colour of the image onto a piece of stone. The poster sheet is then imprinted consecutively with a stone slab for each colour, creating a stunning and rich image.
With the exception of silk printing, we believe that other printing techniques do not deliver the same impact of colour as lithography.
Where do you deliver to?
We ship posters worldwide rolled in shock-resistant and hard wearing tubes. Unless specified otherwise, delivery is free within the UK and standard international delivery is £25 for orders placed via our website.
Can I visit your gallery?

Our opening hours are Monday-Friday 10am-6pm; Saturday 11am-5pm (by appointment only on Sundays and bank holidays*).
