Original antique advertising poster for the Small Loan Bulletin / Вестник мелкаго кредита magazine featuring a 1916 calendar marking holidays and memorable dates surrounded by colourful illustrations showing gifts from the association being given to soldiers on the front lines, the manufacture of boots for the army by association members, the supply of bread by horse drawn carts for the army, aid to association members on the home front who did farming work on the fields, a medical dressing and feeding station organised by the associations, men reading on hospital beds in the infirmary, and the purchase of war bonds by association members, a leaf decoration on the border. Vestnik Melkago Kredita was a Russian pre-revolutionary weekly magazine published by the Department of Small Credit Affairs in Saint Petersburg (Petrograd) from 1912 to 1917. Printed by Nevskaya Artistic Electric Printing. Horizontal. Good condition, restored paper losses, restored tears, folds, minor staining, trimmed edges, backed on linen.

What is a lithograph?
Most of the posters found on our website are lithographs. This is a method of printing that involves drawing a reverse image of each colour onto a piece of stone. The poster sheet is then imprinted consecutively with a stone slab for each colour, creating a stunning and rich image.
With the exception of silk printing, I believe that other printing techniques do not deliver the same impact of colour as lithography.
Where do you deliver to?
We ship posters worldwide rolled in shock-resistant and hard wearing tubes. Unless specified otherwise, delivery is free within the UK and standard international delivery is £35 for orders placed via our website.

Our opening hours are Monday-Friday 10am-6pm; Saturday 11am-5pm (by appointment only on Sundays and bank holidays*).
