Women Of Britain Say Go WWI Recruiting
Original antique World War One propaganda poster published by the Parliamentary Recruiting Committee: Women of Britain say - "Go!" Iconic design featuring two ladies and a young boy looking out of an open window as soldiers in uniform march past for the front, the text above in stylised white letters. Artwork by Edgar James Kealey (1887-1977). This poster calls on the patriotism of women to encourage and ensure their men join in the fight for freedom for King and Country, which is also reflected in the messages of other propaganda posters of the period, such as Kitchener's Your Country Needs You and Lumley's Daddy What Did You Do In The Great War. Published by the Parliamentary Recruiting Committee, London. Printed by Hill Siffken & Co, London. Good condition, creasing, tears, staining.

FAQs
More information about our posters and service.
Are your posters originals?
All our antique and vintage posters, books, maps and prints listed on our website are guaranteed originals as detailed in their photographs and descriptions, and include a certificate of authenticity.
What is a lithograph?
Practically all of the posters found on our website are lithographs. This is a method of printing that involves carving each colour of the image onto a piece of stone. The poster sheet is then imprinted consecutively with a stone slab for each colour, creating a stunning and rich image.
With the exception of silk printing, we believe that other printing techniques do not deliver the same impact of colour as lithography.
Where do you deliver to?
We ship posters worldwide rolled in shock-resistant and hard wearing tubes. Unless specified otherwise, delivery is free within the UK and standard international delivery is £25 for orders placed via our website.

Our opening hours are Monday-Friday 10am-6pm; Saturday 11am-5pm (by appointment only on Sundays and bank holidays*).
