Original vintage London Transport poster featuring a great black and white drawing by John Finnie (b.1935) depicting people walking next to a smock mill windmill with trees in the foreground, the text and London Underground roundel in red below - Windmills link us with less hurried days. Some of these rickety sentinels still remain in London's countryside, proud reminders of the miller's constant battle with his fickle servant, the wind. A free London Transport leaflet lists the more worthy veterans; write for a copy to the Public Relations Officer, 55 Broadway, S.W.1. Are your posters originals?

What is a lithograph?
Practically all of the posters found on our website are lithographs. This is a method of printing that involves carving each colour of the image onto a piece of stone. The poster sheet is then imprinted consecutively with a stone slab for each colour, creating a stunning and rich image.
With the exception of silk printing, we believe that other printing techniques do not deliver the same impact of colour as lithography.
Where do you deliver to?
We ship posters worldwide rolled in shock-resistant and hard wearing tubes. Unless specified otherwise, delivery is free within the UK and standard international delivery is £25 for orders placed via our website.
Can I visit your gallery?
Yes. Our gallery is based in London. Our address is 404 King's Road, Chelsea, London SW10 0LJ.
Our opening hours are Monday-Friday 10am-6pm; Saturday 11am-5pm (by appointment only on Sundays and bank holidays*).
