Original vintage travel advertising poster for London's Tramways - St James Park by tramway to Westminster or Victoria - featuring a scenic view of St James's Park (established 1603) with swans swimming across the lake framed by a tree in the foreground, people enjoying the view and walking with dogs and children on the other side, and the towers of Westminster Abbey visible through the trees behind the houses bordering the park, the title text in stylised lettering above and below. London County Council Tramways operated from 1899 to 1933 when they became part of the London Passenger Transport Board. Very good condition, small tears and folds on margins, pen mark on top right corner, backed on linen.

What is a lithograph?
Practically all of the posters found on our website are lithographs. This is a method of printing that involves carving each colour of the image onto a piece of stone. The poster sheet is then imprinted consecutively with a stone slab for each colour, creating a stunning and rich image.
With the exception of silk printing, we believe that other printing techniques do not deliver the same impact of colour as lithography.
Where do you deliver to?
We ship posters worldwide rolled in shock-resistant and hard wearing tubes. Unless specified otherwise, delivery is free within the UK and standard international delivery is £25 for orders placed via our website.
Can I visit your gallery?
Yes. Our gallery is based in London. Our address is 404 King's Road, Chelsea, London SW10 0LJ.
Our opening hours are Monday-Friday 10am-6pm; Saturday 11am-5pm (by appointment only on Sundays and bank holidays*).
